Department of Electronics

The department of Electronics of Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri College was initiated due to the of affiliation granted by Calcutta University as a general subject in the B.Sc course in the academic session 2001-2002. The intake capacity in B.Sc (Gen) for Electronics is 15 students only. Subsequently, the Hons. in Electronics with the intake capacity of 10 students was sanctioned by the C.U. in the academic session 2003-2004. The department has a well equipped laboratory with an area about 400 sq. ft. with a small store room of 40 sq. ft. along with a space for the teachers. Presently two full time teachers (completely in College pay), and a part time teacher are there to cater for the student in these two self financing schemes.

The department can boast of having seven CROs and ten each of other equipments.The department has extended its cooperation for conducting practical classes for the M.Sc students in Physics of Madurai Kamraj University.

The students of this department have produced several equipments like unregulated and regulated power supply to equip the laboratory in its own design. We hold classes with the help of projectors, slides. The department provides a computer for simulation to be presented for the students.
