Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri College Library started functioning almost from the very inception of the college in July 1965 with a prestigious collection of books donated by Prof. S.N. Banerjee Trust, Surendra Nath College, South Calcutta Branch (Evening).

The library in its present form can boast of a proud collection of almost 23,000 books and 100 CDs. The college library can cater to the basic needs of students of this college along with specialized needs of research of the faculties of different departments of this college. The library has a prestigious collection of twenty different Journals published from Institutes of National Importance .

The library has in its collection Encyclopaedia Britannica, Encyclopaedia Colombia , Encyclopaedia of Indian Literature, Encyclopaedia of Philosophy and many more such prestigious books.
