The College introduced the General Course in Sociology during the academic year 2002-2003. The first batch of students has appeared at the B.A. Part-I Examination in 2004 and all qualified for B.A (Part II) with reasonably good marks. The Department has organized a series of programmes like Seminars, Debates competitions etc. Students participate in these programmes with great enthusiasm. The Department thus keeps throbbing with activity, all the year round. It is worthy to mention that the college has been trying its best to introduce the Honours Course in Sociology in the near future.
